Md Shoriful Islam

Biography:

Md Shoriful Islam is a second year PhD student in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at Brigham Young University. His main research interest centers on physical-layer security and error-control coding. He is currently working on the optimality of hamming codes, simplex codes and others. From 2014-2017, Mr. Islam worked as a lecturer and lab instructor at Uttara University, Bangladesh. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, granted to him by American International University Bangladesh (AIUB) in 2013.

Research Interests:

Physical-layer security, Error-control coding, Signal processing and Wireless communication

  • Magna Cum Laude award for academic excellences in all undergraduate years at AIUB (2014)
  • University Technical Scholarship for academic excellences in at AIUB (2010-2013)
